Attendance Policy

In order for students to greatest benefit as a student of Brant Christian School, regular attendance is essential. There is a direct relationship between the amount of time spent in the class and the amount a student learns. In order to help ensure the safety and well being of your child, we ask that the parents kindly call the school to inform us that the child will not be present that day with the reason for the absence. The school follows up on absentees by contacting the parents. When a student returns from an absence, s/he is required to bring a parent-signed note to the teacher, stating the reason for the absence. It is students' responsibility to check with their teacher on the day of their return to determine assignments to be completed. In light of our four day school week, we heartily recommend that wherever possible this day be used for making appointments.
