June is Here

Hello Parents;

The highlight of last week was of course the annual sports day. Despite cool, windy weather, the event was a success. Thank you to Mr. Doerksen for all of his pre-planning and for the volunteers and teachers who helped at each of the events. On Tuesday of this week our high school students are off to Carmangay for a softball tournament. On Friday is our graduation ceremony being held at the Crystal Ridge Golf Course in Okotoks and on Saturday the annual Brant Christian School golf tournament takes place at the Nanton golf course.

We are graduating 4 grade 12 students; Ruth Anne Klassen, Brooklyn Van Hell, Alexandra Woodley and Aaron Wasik. Each of these students have proven themselves to be very diligent and highly capable and I am proud to soon call them Brant Christian School alumnus. I know that each will be successful as they transition into their next stage of life.

On Tuesday of last week we held our band instrument rental evening. It was a huge turn-out of parents and students. Thank you to all parents for coming out and getting our program off the ground. It will be interesting at school next year as our students begin their musical journeys. I am looking forward to hearing their progress.

We are always looking for new students and our parents and students are still our best advertising method. Please let your friends know about us. I would love the see a whole bunch of new faces at Brant come September. Not to say the present faces are bad, I would just like to see more of them.

We are still in need of a driver for the school float if we are going to enter the Okotoks parade being held on June 20. If you have a truck and would be willing to drive that Saturday please contact me at school.
