Work Bee Over Spring Break

See the April Calendar attached HERE.

Calling All Painters!!! (No advanced painting skills required. All painting skill levels welcome!)
This Tuesday, April 2, starting at 9:00 am we will be painting the portable room off the office. We would love to have an army of volunteers who would be willing to give a few hours to make that room look great! We will have all the equipment and paint needed. Just show up and paint away. Lunch will be provided. No advanced painting skills required. Email Mr Chisholm at shain.chisholm@pallisersd.ab.ca to let us know so we know how many people we need to make lunch for.

Carpet Layers & Movers
We need a few helpers to lay the carpet on Thursday, April 4 in the portable room off the office for a few hours from 10am - noon. Then, we need a crew to move the furniture back into the portable after lunch. If you are looking for a furniture moving workout (free of charge!), we would love to have you come out and pitch in.

iPad
We are needing an iPad (an old one will do) in order to load an app that is used for the Junior/Senior High Worship team. If you have one or know someone who has a used iPad, please contact Pastor Dave Knoepfli at dave.knoepfli@pallisersd.ab.ca.

Highway Clean-Up Volunteering
As part of our fundraising efforts for our next mission trip planned tentatively for Mexico, we are doing our annual highway clean-up on May 4. Just a reminder that if you are planning to go on the mission trip, it is mandatory that you participate in the highway cleanup. We would like to have volunteers as soon as possible so that we can determine if we are able to continue with the two sections of highway. To sign up please go to the following link:

● Highway Clean-Up Volunteering (May 04) - volunteersignup.org/FAJCQ

We are short for volunteers on the Hwy 24 section past Carseland from Hwy 901 to Hwy 1 and would love it if we had more volunteers here. Last year the sections each of our groups in this location were significantly farther due to low numbers for this section and currently we only have 3 students and 4 parents signed up and the other section on Hwy 23 just east of Brant is full. Please consider volunteering and if you are a gr. 9-12 student who is planning on attending the mission trip next year we ask that you participate.

***Registration for 2024-25***
At this point, we are not taking any more registrations except for kindergarten.. Any spaces that may open up after the initial new family interviews will be announced via our website.

Hot Lunch
Hot lunches take place every Thursday. Hot lunches rotate between hot dogs, taco in a bag, pizza, hamburgers and pulled pork sandwiches. Ordering hot lunch for April is now open, closes April 8th.

Prayer
A message from the Prayer Team : At Brant Christian School, we covet the prayers of our parents on behalf of our students, teachers and staff! We would like to encourage parents who normally drive their students to and from school to take a few minutes, either at drop off or pick up, to walk the perimeter of the school yard praying. There is something powerful about "boots on the ground prayer!" We totally understand the challenge of schedule constraints, but perhaps this might be a simple (and powerful!) way to effectively use that time while you are waiting for your children. Thank you! Also, if you are willing to meet for a scheduled time of prayer, please reach out to Helga Lempriere @ prayer@brantchristian.org

FlipGive
In case you hadn't heard, Brant has joined with FlipGive , a free team funding app. We are requesting for our families to join and support our school. You will be supporting Brant with the ongoing school improvement projects. Brant's Flipgive team is not limited to Brant families, but open to friends and extended family. If you haven't already, join our team by clicking the link or entering the code H9J97Z at flipgive.com. Brant will get a $5 bonus the first time you shop! Any questions, just ask! Email fundraising@brantchristian.org

Feel free to reach out to me should you have any ideas or concerns, or just want to chat.
Mr. Shain Chisholm, Principal
